Ben and I spent the weekend hiking and swimming. This picture shows how much Yoda loves Vegas heat. Whenever we went hiking he would slow down as we walked through the shade and then speed up when there was no shade. When we got near the end of our hike, Yoda would lower his bottom to the ground and refuse to leave the shade, poor guy!

This was at red rock, we went up Ice Box Canyon trail, Yoda probably felt it was more like Burning hot canyon!

I loved this tree, notice red rock in the background. This is still Ice Box Canyon Trail.

This is Fletcher Canyon trail, this is up on Mt. Charleston we went there on Monday because it is about 20 degrees cooler up there. It is a fun trail to go on. We found several geocaches along the way.

Happy fourth of July! We had fun with sparklers and the camera.

This butterfly was up in Fletcher Canyon, probably near the end of his life(notice the wings).

This is me up at the top of Fletcher canyon.

Ben was taking some pretty cool shots.

Look there are miniature Columbines on Mt. Charleston, I was so happy!

Ben and Yoda made it to the end of Fletcher Canyon about 4 miles round trip. There is a nice little waterfall up at the end of the canyon.
